Nice work on The Ring special issues. Thanks! I hope you will also scan and upload the Tables of Contents (TOCs) in time, too. --Ric 23:56, 13 January 2007 (CST)
Thanks again! Great work you are doing. --Ric 12:54, 20 January 2007 (CST)
Tables of Contents
I can't read the text of some of these TOCs you are uploading, such as here. Can you re-can them, so that they are readable? The TOCs are useful for researchers and boxing historians. Here's a good example of what we are doing. --Ric 13:08, 21 January 2007 (CST)

Boxer Page Formatting
You ask me: "Have you thought about setting up the fighter pages similar to how they have them on Wikipedia. For example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manny_Pacquiao. I like how they have the box in the upper right with a photo and relevent stats and the fighters record. I'm not saying to copy it, but something similar." Answer: that lay-out is fine for boxers who have a lot of information/text to put on their pages. But most, or many, of our boxer pages have just the stats and maybe a photo. If the photo was on the right, and stats on the left, there would be such a wide and empty gap of white space. Keeping the photo and stats together on the left just looks more compact and better--again, at least for those pages that do not contain a lot of text. Anyway, we "do our own thing" over here, as was said by some Editor long ago when we first started this boxing wiki, although we try to copy the main wiki's guidelines in all other respects. --Ric 10:57, 28 January 2007 (CST)

After observing your contributions since you joined the BoxRec Wiki team, it is clear you know what you are doing. And you have been contributing quality material. You have "earned your wings." I am therefore making you a fellow Administrator, with the ability to delete pages yourself, among other "powers." Congratulations!
Middleweight Ratings for 1930 & 1931
Tim, do you have access to the middleweight ratings for 1930 & 1931? We have both years identical here. --Ric 17:34, 23 February 2007 (CST)

Reorganizing RING's Annual Ratings
So, what was the reasoning behind completely revamping these pages. How are the changes such a major improvement that it required such a major over-haul? And don't you think you might have run the idea by your fellow Admins first? --Ric 20:48, 22 March 2007 (CDT)

Ric, I don't think I completely revamped these pages and I did not think it was a major overhaul. I did not eliminate or delete any information that was already present. I thought I was improving the layout of the Annual Ratings and simplifying them by eliminating an extra link and putting the years for each division on the main page just like the breakdown per decade. I thought it would be easier to navigate. I apologize if I offended you or any of the other administrators. -- Wade
World Title Lineages
Tim, rather than putting World Champion pages under the new category you created, should we not use instead the "generic" divisional World Champions category I suggested to fellow Editor Casey here? (See my test page for welter champs, before Fosho got involved in all this by attempting to change the category.) --Ric 19:15, 8 April 2007 (CDT)
"Comments" Section
Why does every boxer page with some note now need to have a separate "Comments" section, that only adds unnecessary text as far as I'm concerned. Pages should be relatively concise. I really do not see the need to add this "headline." --Ric 20:38, 25 April 2007 (CDT)
Re: Ted
I got a bit frustrated with Ted and his contributions early on, until I learned by an e-mail that he is an "elder," as we say, who is trying his best with his very limited and new PC skills. (I think he may have been an "old-timer" boxer himself. At the least, he personally knows some of the old-time British boxers and managers.) It is taking him a while to catch on to all this new technology and HTML codes and so on. P.S. I love what you have been doing with the KO and Boxing Illustrated pages.
