He was always good to the youngsters who turned up and was much liked in the area. Another ex-pro, featherweight Denny Dawson, also attended and you could learn a lot just by watching these two men train.<br /> Of course Brendan trained the great Herol Graham and I was pleased to see that they got back together after a rift in their earlier days. Brendan then had Prince Nazim, and the Prince reached world championship class.<br /> While ever there are men like Brendan, boxing, and youngsters have the solid basics from which to learn to live the right way.<br /> I do believe that Brendan's wife qualified as a referee.</div>
