The fight was a real clash of styles with a lot of holding. The pace came started very slow in the first with both both guys being cautious. The second round was more of the same. Martinez tried to use quick combinations, while Cintron was a bit sluggish. The third was better for Martinez, who landed the better punches. Martinez opened up a cut above the left eye of Cintron in the fifth. He began to step up the pace in the sixth round, setting himself up on the outside and throwing quicker punches. Martinez tagged him with a very hard left hand in the seventh and it sent Cintron down on the mat. Cintron thought the punch was actually a clash of heads and stayed down as the referee appeared to count to ten and the bell rang to close the seventh. It appeared that the fight was called by the referee, and was over for a few minutes, with all sorts of confusion in the ring. Then it was restarted with the fight going into the eight round. Both fighters were very mad in the eight, taunting each other and throwing punches. They continued the more active pace in the ninth, as Martinez was landing more punches. Cintron came on with a very strong round in the tenth, landing big punches, but Martinez came right back and outboxed Cintron in the eleventh. During the twelfth, the referee took a crucial point away from Martinez for hitting Cintron with a punch to the back of the head. The point deduction was critical to the scores and cost Martinez the decision. Martinez stepped on the gas in the final round while Cintron was staying away and not throwing enough. In the end, Everyone was surprised by the decision.

Rubio began to throw more punches in the third round, but Pavlik would drill him back with the jab and right hands. The left eye of Pavlik began to swell up after a Rubio right hand. Pavlik fired back with combinations to the head and body. They traded some punches in the fourth round, but Pavlik's shots were much harder and forced Rubio to retreat. The fifth round was a blowout with Pavlik beating Rubio around from post to post. In the sixth round, Rubio tried to stage a rally and actually began to trade punches with Pavlik. Rubio continued to stand his ground in the seventh round, as Pavlik was pounding him with much harder and much better shots. Rubio tried to counter and punch, but was never able to get off with too many shots. During the eight round, Pavlik stunned Rubio badly with a right hand and the two of the them would trade big shots against the ropes for the final thirty seconds. Pavlik continued to let his hands go in the ninth round, picking his shots and punishing Rubio. The ninth round was another dominant round for Pavlik as landed numerous punches on Rubio. Before the start of the tenth round, Rubio's corner stopped the fight.

The fight started slow with both fighters feeling each other out by throwing their jabs. Campbell pushed Funeka back in the first by coming forward at all times. Campbell came out in the second throwing big punches and hurt Funeka with a right hand to the temple and a few moments later Campbell caught
him with a combination that sent him down on his back. Funeka barely made it up and out of the round as he held to the bell. The two would exchange some punches to the body but Funeka appeared to have cleared his head and landed punches from several angles. There was more heated action in the fourth round, both fighters gave as good as they took. Funeka continued to rise his level of activity in the fight, staying away by sticking and moving and outworking Campbell in the fight. In the sixth round, Campbell came out strong in the first minute but Funeka kept up the much higher level of activity with a non-stop workrate of punches being thrown and many of them landing.

The seventh was closer, as Nate tried to apply himself more and Funeka continued to work hard. The eight round was more of the same. Campbell was throwing the harder punches, as Funeka was working at a harder pace. In the ninth round, Campbell appeared to look tired as Funeka continued to come on and throw punches in bunches. The tenth saw Campbell stay close to Funeka and work on the inside to make Funeka slow down and Campbell came out with some winging shots to the body in the eleventh. In the final minute of the eleventh, Campbell caught Funeka with another right hand to the temple that sent Funeka down and once again he barely made it out of the round as Campbell tried to finish him off. Campbell came out with a fury in the twelfth, pressing on Funeka and throwing a lot of body shots. Funeka would answer back in the final minute with some hard punches.

Angulo went back on the attack in the third, landing some big punches to get Rivera in trouble. River barely made it out of the round as Angulo tried to finish him off in the final minute. Left hooks from Rivera in fourth would open Angulo's cut back up but he kept on coming and kept on punching with the harder shots. The pounding continued in the fifth, Angulo came out with power punches, coming forward and dealing some punishment. An assault of punches in the fifth would force a Florida commission member to jump on the apron to stop the fight.
