== Bout Summary ==
Both fighters came out and traded bombs in a tremendous first round. Taylor drops Pavlik in the second round with a fast four punch combination. Pavlik was on unsteady legs briefly after that, but he still pursued the champion. After several rounds of excellent two-way action, Pavlik caught Taylor with a very hard right hand followed by a left hook and another right hand in round seven. Referee [[Steve Smoger]] jumped in almost immediately after Taylor was dropped, and stopped the fight.
