Mikael Zewski fashioned an amateur record of 138-29. A four-time national champion, he was a Silver Medalist at the 2004 youth Pan Am Championships and earned a fifth place finish at the 2009 Senior Worlds in Milan, Italy. It was an upset when he defeated the ex silver medallist of Beijing, Cuban [[Carlos Banteaux]].&lt;br /&gt;
He is trained by his father Jean Zewski who also trains Canadian lightweight prospect [[Pier-Olivier Cote]].&lt;br /&gt;
