			On June 29, 2009, Vicente captured the vacant Dominican Republic Super Bantamweight title.

			He continued his rise on November 29, 2010, when he won the vacant '''WBA Fedelatin Super Bantamweight Championship'''. In March 2011, Vicente added the vacant '''WBC FECARBOX Super Bantamweight Championship''' to his résumé.

			Vicente later moved into higher-profile international competition, appearing in bouts throughout the Dominican Republic, United States, Puerto Rico, Panama, Colombia, Mexico and Spain.

			One of the defining moments of Vicente's career occurred on December 8, 2015, when he faced undefeated Dominican boxer [[Juan Dominguez]] at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, New Jersey.

			Dominguez entered the contest with a 19-0 record.

			Vicente applied pressure during the opening rounds before ending the fight only 20 seconds into the third round with a powerful overhand right. Dominguez was knocked down and referee Earl Brown immediately stopped the contest.

			The dramatic finish received widespread attention throughout the boxing world and was selected as '''Premier Boxing Champions' 2015 Knockout of the Year'''.

			The victory became one of the most recognizable performances of Vicente's professional career.
