The United States boxing team, coached by Pat Nappi, captured nine gold medals (Gonzales, McCrory, Taylor, Whitaker, Page, Breland, Tate, Tillman, Biggs), one silver medal (Hill), and one bronze medal (Holyfield). Robert Shannon who was eliminated in the second round, was the only boxer who did not medal.
