Bob Baker 211 lbs beat Coley Wallace 202 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Bob Baker again outpointed Coley Wallace Friday night at MSG in lop-sided fashion before a sprinkling of Garden fans. But he was disappointed at his failure to stop Wallace, who was on rubber legs in five heats, was bleeding freely from mouth and nose after the 2nd round, and was half-blinded by his swollen shut left eye in the closing sessions." -United Press

  • Unofficial AP scorecard (the UP did not offer a card) - 8-2 Baker
  • After this bout MSG Matchmaker Billy Brown attempted to match Baker with either Nino Valdes or Don Cockell in the Garden on February 11, 1955, but nothing ever came of that date.

  • "I goofed a couple of times when I should have stopped him. He hurt me with a couple of good chops. He tries to kill you with that right." -Bob Baker
