    • "Sanstol, teeth bared in a fighting grin, was always on the attack, giving Pinto little chance to get set for the heavy blows which his rugged physique denoted." Montreal Herald
    • From the day-after Montreal Gazette newspaper:
In the best of the preliminaries Sanstol, who defeated Alex Burlie here two weeks ago (fight summary) and Charlie Pinto, of Buffalo, were brought together with Sanstol as the favorite. In the early stages of the first round Sanstol's rapid-fire tactics seemed to bewilder Pinto who afterwards measured his opponent on several occasions evening up the round. In the second round Sanstol added to his count and fairly smothered his opponent. The next round Sanstol was wearing his opponent down, and had him crowded back on the ropes the greater part of the three minutes. Sanstol kept boring in, never allowing Pinto to get properly set to deliver a telling punch.
All during the fourth round Sanstol was the aggressor, and had a wide margin over the Buffalo fighter. Again in the fifth Sanstol had all the better of it. The sixth round brought a unanimous decision to Sanstol which was his second here within two weeks.
