"Pittsburgh heavyweight Bob Baker was successfully past the second milestone in his comeback attempt today after scoring a unanimous 10 round decision over Toxie Hall of Chicago. Baker had to rally in the final three rounds with stiff left hooks to gain the verdict over his lighter opponent. Hall, a sparring partner for heavyweight champion Rocky Marciano, won four of the first six rounds, but Baker's superior weight began to tell in the late rounds. Baker had Hall hanging on in the final two rounds but was unable to put him down. There were no knockdowns during the bout and neither fighter was marked despite a fast pace." -United Press
