"Rodrigo Valdes of Columbia, came back from a 2nd round knockdown to score a unanimous decision over Peter Cobblah of Africa last night in the main event at the Silver Slipper Arena. A capacity crowd saw a 10-rounder which was a slugfest from the opening bell. Fight fans tossed an undetermined amount of money into the ring following the bout to show their pleasure. Cobblah, who was shorter and lacked the reach of his opponent, suffered a cut near his eye as well as on his forehead and spent half the night wiping blood out of his eyes. Valdes finished strong after a slow start and the feature was a definite crowd-pleaser with plenty of action throughout." -Las Vegas SUN
