"Henry Davis of Honolulu is clamoring for a rematch with Art Aragon following his 10th round TKO at the hands of the Los Angeles Golden Boy in the San Francisco Cow Palace last night. The bout, which was televised, was stopped at 1:39 of the final round because of a deep gash on the bottom side of Davis' lower lip. Davis opened the action as soon as the bell sounded. He rushed from his corner and landed a good one-two combination to Aragon's jaw. Aragon then started to open up, catching Davis with left hooks and right uppercuts. Davis suffered the gash during a furious exchange in the 9th round. Although bleeding profusely from the gash, Davis fought back and with only seconds left to go in the 9th, knocked out Aragon's mouthpiece with a right uppercut. In the 10th, referee Frankie Burns stepped between the battlers, looked at Davis' lip and called in the attending physician. The doctor agreed that the bout should be halted." -Oakland Tribune
