Tony Chiaverini vs. Alfonso Frazer
Alfonso Frazer 147 lbs lost to Tony Chiaverini 151 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10
"Tony Chiaverini remains on course in a bid for a world championship by posting a unanimous 10-round decision over former jr. welterweight champion Alfonso Frazer of Panama Friday night at Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium in a battle of jr. middleweights. Chiaverini was in command throughout the fight and pounded Frazer repeatedly with powerful body punches. The fight began slowly, but Chiaverini established dominance throughout the middle rounds. Chiaverini, fighting near his hometown of Shawnee, Kansas, kept up a relentless attack through the latter rounds to nail down the decision, but was still unable to floor Frazer. Neither fighter was in trouble throughout the fight, despite Chiaverini's convincing win." -The Independence Examiner
- Frazer was a late substitute for Mel Dennis.

- "Tony held me in the 6th round and they assessed me a penalty point. I thought the judging was unfair. I didn't think I lost by that much." -Alfonso Frazer
