Carlos Hernandez 134 lbs beat Alfredo Urbina 134 lbs by UD in round 12 of 12

"Carlos Hernandez, Venezuelan lightweight, and Alfredo Urbina of Mexico battled 12 hectic rounds at the Olympic Auditorium Thursday night with Hernandez capturing the decision. It was a grueling scrap and close all the way. Both fighters fired their best punches but there were no knockdowns. Urbina was cautious the first two stanzas but opened up in the 3rd and battled Hernandez on even terms most of the way. Hernandez, who gained acclaim two months ago when he knocked out featherweight champion Davey Moore, staggered Urbina in the 5th and 7th rounds but was unable to drop the rugged Mexican." -Long Beach Independent
