"Carlos Hernandez of Venezuela retained his world junior welterweight crown when he stopped Mario Rossito of Columbia. The Venezuelan was at his best. He was sharp. His lefts and rights to the body and his left uppercuts did the damage. There was no let up in the victor's attack. His condition was superb, his execution deadly. At the end of the 3rd round Rossito's left eye was closed and his left cheek was badly bruised.
