"Calling upon his reserve stamina and strength, Sid Terris, 134, New York lightweight, staged a lightning rally in the closing round to win a hairline decision over Billy Petrolle, 133, of Fargo, N.D., in 10 rounds here last night. 20,000 spectators in the Coney island Stadium saw the speedy exhibition of boxing science and footwork, with Petrolle pressing in on the New Yorker in almost every round. Flashing a two-fisted attack, Petrolle rocked Terris about the ring in the 8th and 9th rounds. Suddenly awakened by Petrolle's battering punches, Terris sprang into whirlwind activity in the last round and beat Petrolle badly." -Associated Press
