"Ugandan Ayub Kalule had a tougher fight than expected in the main event. Italian based Argentine, Rogelio Zarza was outclassed and took a tremendous beating in their 10-rounder, but thanks to immense gameness and clever slipping he lasted the distance. In fact, he never seemed in any real trouble, although he received a countless number of hooks and uppercuts from start to finish. At times he was hit by combinations of five to six shots to both head and body, but still managed from time to time to land punches of his own. Despite never winning a round and having taken a bad beating, the Argentine looked overjoyed to have lasted 10 rounds against the number one light middleweight contender." -Boxing Digest, October, 1979
