The Ring,April 1947 reported: " ..Sanders Cox 185 1/2,Dallas, outlasted Harry Berntsen,206, at the St.Nick Arena, and won by a kayo in the third. The more experienced Cox had Berntsen wabbly in the first,but the Norwegian came back in the second to drop Sanders for a nine count,and have him groggy at the bell. The Texan wound up the brawl by flattening Berntsen with a terrific right in 1:01 of the third."
