"World junior middleweight champion Ki-Soo Kim of South Korea, retained his title here tonight with a points decision against the #1 contender Freddie Little of Las Vegas. The decision, completely unexpected by the 10,000 crowd at the Seoul Stadium, brought only mild clapping and astounded Little and his camp. Little was the aggressor from the outset, landing lefts to the head and rights to the body and head freely. He slipped inside Kim's swings effortlessly, and at the end of 15 rounds the only mark on Little's face was an ugly 1 1/2" gash on his forehead from a 1st round head-butt." -Reuters
- Kim was staggered in the 10th and floored in the 11th from a right hand at the 1:00 mark.
- The American judge had it a shut-out for Little.
