"Ralph Dupas of New Orleans scored a unanimous decision over Johnny Busso of New York tonight in a stirring 10 round battle before 2,105 paying spectators at the Miami Beach Auditorium. Both judges and referee gave the edge to Dupas, who had a shade the better on the infighting. Both were lightning fast. Busso, 2 1/2 - 1 underdog at fight time, rallied in the late rounds. There were no knockdowns as both fighters kept dancing around the ring to the end and fought fiercely through the final rounds, while the crowd roared approval. Busso's nose bled a bit early in the fight. His pale body was reddened from Dupas' blows while the New Orleans youngster was unmarked at the end." -Associated Press
