In a bizarre fight between lightweights that lasted less than two rounds, Bob Connors' bout with Don Moore was stopped and ruled a no-contest due to what the Referee Kurt Spivey referred to as "Lack of Activity". After deliberating with the commission, the ruling was reversed to a disqualification against Connors, who showed very little interest in fighting with Moore and looked more to run and hold throughout. Surprisingly, there was only one warning for holding that was issued before the referee halted the action. The time of the stoppage was 27 seconds into round two.
