"Rodolfo 'Baby' Casanova, featherweight champion of Mexico, won a decision last night over Baby Arizmendi, champion of New York State in a 10-round fight here. Casanova was the aggressor throughout, Arizmendi being able to land only occasional punches. Casanova is now the featherweight champion of Mexico and at one time was the leading challenger to Panama Al Brown's bantamweight title. Arizmendi did not look in his best form and Casanova hit him at will, scoring the most effective blows to Arizmendi's body. The judge's decision was a clear one." -The Laredo Times
