Notes
- Attempting to extend his series of first round KOs to four, Besmi throws caution to the wind and attacks King from the outset. However, King is more than willing to exchange and lands a series of hooks that sends Besmi to the canvas.
- From that point on, Besmi is more focused in his attacks and takes control of the fight. King appears overmatched and resorts to holding Besmi at every occasion. Referee Villeneuve gives King several warnings.
- King goes down hard at the end of round 2. He beats the count, but the referee concludes that he is unfit to continue and waves the fight over.
- After the fight, Besmi goes over to King's corner to congratulate him for a good fight. King, apparently upset at what he deemed to be a premature stoppage, attacks Besmi and puts him in a headlock. The respective cornermen step in to break up the fight.
