Howard Wilson, 123-pound champion colored pugilist of the District of Columbia, sparred ten rounds at the Monumental Theatre last night with Joseph Gans, colored, to a draw. It was a fine exhibition. Wilson is a little Sandow in build, though an inch shorter than Gans. He excelled as a two-hand fighter, while Gans is particularly clever with his left. An eleventh round was ordered, but Sergeant Schimpf would not allow it to be fought.
