  • In a nationally televised bout between 6'3" heavyweight contender Monte 'Two Gunz' Barrett and 6'8" Tye Fields, Fields came forward firing jabs, which Barrett slipped while patently waiting for a counter opportunity. All of a sudden a lightning fast thunderous counter right hook from Barrett to the head of Fields left Fields out on his feet in desperate trouble. Barrett's followup included several right crosses that sent Fields staggering backwards, with another thunderous right hook to the head of Fields that sent Fields to the canvas with a thud at 0:47. Fields tried to struggle to his feet but went down again, unable to beat the count. Time: 0:57. Barrett celebrated with a backflip. Fields entered this bout with a record of 41-1, 37 kayos, including 24 kayos in the first round, and a record of 11-0 in Nevada casino bouts.
