    Results from The Boston Daily Globe, 1/8/1887. Opponent billed as "Young" Aaron. Article states that the bout was to be a finish fight but was stopped after five rounds and declared a draw. Weir floored Aaron in the first round. In the second round Aaron was pounded bloody; blood which was smeared on the Spider in a clinch "until both men looked decidedly red". Weir plainly had the better of the bout.
