"Castillo, the Mexican bantamweight champ, slashed and pounded his way to an uphill win over Memo Tellez. A crowd of about 13,000 was onhand. Castillo decked the challenger in the 1st round with a long right, but Tellez got back on his feet and offered a dancing attack which gave Castillo a hard to hit target. But when the bout was stopped on an 11th round TKO, Tellez was bleeding from cuts above both eyes, from the mouth, and from the nose." -El Paso Herald Post
