Summary
World Ranked Light Middleweight contender Yuri Foreman of Belarus, fighting out of Brooklyn, New York, retained the NABF Light middleweight title with a ten round decision over Irish James Moore of Ireland, fighting out of Queens, New York. Foreman, now 27-0, 8 kayos, appeared to win every round except perhaps the final round, which was abit closer when Moore, now 16-2 with 10 kayos, emptied his guns. Foreman dominated the exchanges with frequent power punches, most notably to Moore's left eye and left ear, which turned red. The most significant events of the bout were an accidental headbutt by Foreman in round 9 cutting Moore below the left eye, and Foreman throwing Moore to the canvas in round 10 when the exchanges grew ugly. Moore, a three time Irish amateur national champion with 314 amateur bouts, had sparred 60 rounds with Foreman previously.
