- Bout stopped due to a cut over Chavez' right eye after a headbutt.
- Under the absurd WBC rules, Randall was penalized 1 point in the 8th for an ACCIDENTAL headbutt. This wound up being the difference in the fight, as the fight would have otherwise been ruled a draw. The absurdity of the rule is that the fighter gets penalized for something that WAS NOT a foul.
