Hamer moved forward and won all four rounds with his right hand lead chasing Arnold, but went the distance for the first time as he was unable to put together any combinations or flurries. Arnold backpeddled on the defensive the entire bout and threw some counters in rounds 3 and 4 when it appeared Hamer could not put him away.
