• An accidental headbutt caused a cut over Montiy's left eye in round 2. In light of Montiy's representations to the ringside doctor that he could not see out of his left eye, the fight was stopped and declared a no contest.
• After the fight, Raymond Olubowale climbed into the ring to challenge Kielsa to a Canadian title fight, but Kielsa ignored Olubowale and the latter was escorted out of the ring by security.
