Marco Huck 199 lbs beat Brian Minto 198 lbs by RTD at 3:00 in round 9 of 12

Heavyweight Minto, coming off a loss to Chris Arreola, came down to cruiserweight for this WBO title bout. Minto put relentless and furious pressure on Huck, leading to a furious toe-to-toe exchange between the two fighters at the end of round two. Despite the pressure, Huck landed the bigger and cleaner shots over the first five rounds, leading to Minto going to the wrong corner at the end of round five. The pace slowed from the sixth round on, but the style of the fighters remained the same, Minto pressuring Huck, but Huck busier and landing more often, with many effective power shots finding the head and body of Minto. The culmination of nine rounds of accurate punching by Huck led the Minto corner to stop the bout at the end of round nine.
