Bout Summary
- The larger Periban used a bit of movement, and kept his hands busy throughout. Naugler tried to pressure, but had trouble getting set and getting punches off.
- Naugler began to develop cuts below and above the left eye in round 3 and went to the see the ringside doctor on two occasions afterwards.
- In round 5, Periban landed a series of unanswered but otherwise nondescript punches, causing the ref to step in and halt the fight. Naugler, although well behind in the fight, was furious at the referee for the stoppage.
