Mando Ramos 130 lbs beat Ray Echevarria 131 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Mando Ramos, 130, was the smoothest, most lethal fighting machine Southland boxing fans have seen in years as he chopped the world's 7th ranked junior lightweight, Ramon Echevarria, 131, to pieces before a screaming gallery of 9,900. Ramos fought the most brilliant engagement of his undefeated 15 bout career as he handed Echevarria his first defeat in 19 fights. By the 2nd round it was toe-to-toe and Mando was landing 3-1, both to the body and to the head, as Ramon charged him time and again and crowded him into the ropes. From the 8th onward, the Long Beach whiz kid had full control though Echevarria was still fighting back desperately at the bell." -Long Beach Press-Telegram
