"Mando Ramos of Long Beach, kept his unbeaten featherweight record intact Thursday night as he knocked out veteran Manny Linson of Mexico, in the 2nd round of their featured Olympic Auditorium match. Ramos gained his 10th consecutive victory and eighth KO by aggressively going after his hapless victim from the opening bell. It was a case of natural talent overpowering experience as the 18-year-old Ramos went after the 27-year-old veteran with a barrage of body punches and shots to the head in the opening round. Ramos was on Linson at the start of the 2nd with a blistering body attack that drove him to the ropes. Ramos caught him with two minutes gone and dropped him with a left hook. After a mandatory eight, Linson came back but ran into another flurry of punches to the head and went down from a left hook to the jaw with 2:26 gone in the round." -Long Beach Independent
