- Clavette was hurt by an overhand right in round 3 and dropped twice that round by rights to the body.
- Clavette was hurt by a right in round 4 and almost fell while returning to his corner at the end of the round.
- Clavette was dropped by a left hook in round 5. Clavette took more punishment upon rising, forcing his corner to throw in the towel.
