"Henry Armstrong, Los Angeles, who once held three world titles, has avenged the defeat which forced him into retirement two years ago with a decision over Fritzie Zivic of Pittsburgh. 12,000 fans paid more than $30,000 last night to watch Armstrong pound out a decisive 10 round decision over his favored opponent in the Civic Auditorium. Both were cautious in the 1st round but Armstrong brought the crowd up cheering in the 2nd with a two-fisted attack to Zivic's head. He continued the onslaught in the next round, Zivic rallied to take the 4th, then seemed to tire fast." -United Press
