Bout Summary

Urango controlled the action throughout against his over-matched and well-outgunned opponent. Urango came forward in the opening round and banged wide hooks primarily to the body with some success as Chavez circled the ring and accomplished little offensively. Urango targeted the head in Round 2 and caught Chavez with clean hooks at :22 of the round. A combination highlighted by a left hand to the body and left hook upstairs sent Chavez into the ropes and down at :38. He stayed on his knees before getting to his feet at the count of eight.
