Ezzard Charles 192 lbs lost to Tommy Jackson 192 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

Charles started fast, taking the first two rounds from Jackson. In the 3rd, Jackson began using movement and his long left jab to outbox Charles who stood in the center of the ring. This continued on until the 9th, when Charles finally caught up to Jackson, pounding on him, though Jackson did not appear hurt. Charles went for the knockout in the 10th round, but Jackson more than held his own.

Charles entered the fight a 2-to-1 favorite.
