Jack Reddick beat Jeff Vidal by PTS in round 6 of 6
- Date: 1927-08-21
- Location: Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Canada
Fort Qu'Appelle boxing fans were treated to a fast exhibition of the manly art Saturday night, when Jack Reddick, the Winnipeg pulpmill, won a decision over Jeff Vidal in a six-round affair that was full of action all the way.
Vidal showed plenty of pluck and always came back strong, but Reddick, though hard pressed several times, was in the driver's seat throughout and registered straight lefts at random that kept his opponent's face smeared from the second round on. Vidal was giving his best in the fifth, until Reddick landed a hard uppercut that sent him to the canvas for a count of nine.
