A 7-fight novice from France with only one win, Gaston Chambraud, gave German middleweight champ Peter Mueller unexpected trouble. It looked like a mismatch when Mueller dropped the Frenchman on his hands and knees with a hook in the 1st. But in the 3rd Mueller had to take a count from a hard hook to solar plexus from Chambraud. In the 6th Mueller was shaken by a hook and took some seconds off with a count of 3. But the last part of the fight was all Mueller's, good right uppercuts nearly ended the fight in the 9th.
