"Sammy Fuller, 135 1/4, of Boston, who once outpointed Tony Canzoneri in a non-title bout, has earned another chance at the lightweight champion. Fuller won that right last night by handing Ray Miller, 133, Chicago veteran, a decisive beating in 10 rounds at MSG. In trouble from Miller's famous left hooks in the 1st round, Fuller found his bearings thereafter and gave Miller one of the worst defeats of his career. He dropped Miller with a right hand in the 4th and had him in trouble constantly thereafter." -Associated Press
