The two fought a slow first round, with no real action. Savoie started fast in the 2nd round, and after nailing Webb with a left, floored with a right hand for a nine-count. Webb moved more in the 3rd and 4th round, as the two boxed on more even terms. In the 5th round, Savoie caught Webb in a neutral corner, and pounded him at will, eventually flooring him with a solid right to the stomach. After Webb took a nine-count, he was quickly floored again. Though he didn't appear badly hurt after three knockdown, he appeared to be in bad shape after he was sent down for a fourth time. After Webb went down for a fifth time, the bout was stopped.
