According to the Portland Oregonian article of his fight with Frank Farmer, Darcy had suffered a broken left hand in this bout. The Boston Globe reported that Greb won easily, flooring Darcy in round four. The Pittsburgh Post said that Darcy was "a big, strong fighter" who gave Greb his hardest Boston fight, and was still ready to mix it up at the final bell and fought well in the closing rounds.
