The Cleveland Press reported Greb as an easy winner- "As was anticipated, young Maxie proved entirely inadequate to the assignment handed him. As was forecast, Greb carried too many guns for him and knew too much. We think Greb could have stopped him in almost any round had he cared to." The Cleveland Plain Dealer and Cleveland News concurred, calling it "horribly one-sided". Regis Welsh of the Pittsburgh Post reported an "easy win" for Greb. Harry bided his time for the first five rounds (much as he did in the Mickey Walker bout 2 weeks earlier), Rosenbloom only doing as well as Greb allowed him to. Greb didn't open up until the 6th round, flooring Maxie and giving him a severe beating up until the final bell.
