Emile Griffith 156 lbs beat Andy Heilman 161 lbs by UD in round 10 of 10

"Emile Griffith, fighting on his 31st birthday, maintained his record of keeping it a happy day by scoring his second victory over durable and willing Andy (Kid) Heilman of Fargo, North Dakota. Although Griffith, 156 1/4, New York, got one-sided votes from the officials, it was actually a close fight for the first six rounds. From the 3rd to the 5th rounds, Heilman, 161, kept forcing Griffith into the ropes and scoring to the body, especially with left hooks. But from the 6th round on, Griffith slashed Heilman with jabs, caught him with left hooks and fast combinations to the body and head, and school was out. In the 6th Emile jolted Heilman with four short rights and in the 8th he caught Andy with the best punch of the fight, a jolting left hook to the head. Griffith's left eye was slightly cut in the 8th, while Heilman was cut on the right eye in the 9th. Andy's nose had bled as early as the 2nd. Heilman got the cheers, even if he didn't get the decision." -Boxing Illustrated, May 1969 issue
