Notes
- Al Haymon's Premiere Boxing Champions (PBC) at Barclays.
- Amir Khan hopeful for a probable 147 pound world title shot at 48-0 Floyd Mayweather Jr. with this important hard fought crossroads win.
- Khan, now 5-0 against New York opponents, counter punched effectively from the outside after being suprised with Algieri's aggression majority of rounds in a fairly close contest. Algeri fought a far better bout than he did against Manny Pacquiao, throwing more punches and landing some power shots. Spike TV announcers felt the fight could have gone either way and criticized the two scorecards of 117-111 in favor of Khan.
