Moore got off to a fast start in the bout. Chase though controlled the action in the middle rounds, and managed to swell Moore's left eye shut. Moore had a strong 7th round, and closed strong in the 10th round. This bout was thought to have been slower than Moore's previous Oakland appearance against Oakland Billy Smith
