Olivares administered a severe beating to the 23 year old Ortiz. However, Ortiz appeared clumsy and showed little defense while Olivares appeared slow and missed many punches. a crowd estimated at 4,500 watched the Olivares-Ortiz fight at the Tijuana Arena 72." -United Press International
