"Wesley Mouzon blazed meteor-like on the fistic horizon today after his unexpected draw with NBA lightweight champion Ike Williams. A large portion of the crowd thought that 19 year-old Mouzon had won the bout; and it was only Williams' closing rally that salvaged a draw. Mouzon, with only 25 previous fights behind him, went into the ring a 3-1 underdog. But it soon was apparent that the slender, fast-stepping kid with the rapier left jab was going to give Williams of Trenton, N.J., a hard fight - if not a licking." -United Press
